Priscilla Salgado was born and raised in Odessa, Texas. She graduated from Odessa High School in 2001 and attended Odessa College for 2 years before transferring to the University of Texas at San Antonio. In 2007, she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and taught at the Palo Alto College Child Development Center for 2 years before moving to San Angelo. While teaching 1st grade at Texas Leadership Charter Academy, she attended Angelo State University and graduated in 2011 with a Master of Education in School Counseling. In 2011, she transitioned from classroom teacher to school counselor. From 2011-2021 she had the pleasure of working with small rural schools and fell in love with the small connected communities. For the last two years, she has been working with the ESC at Region 18 as an ESL/Bilingual Parent and Family Engagement Specialist.
