Whitney Creekmore is an Educational Consultant for the Region 18 Service Center where she specializes in special populations support. Whitney holds a Bachelors degree in Child and Family Studies from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin, a Masters Degree in Special Education from Texas Tech University, a Visual Impairment and DeafBlind certification from Texas Tech University, and will soon have an Educational Diagnostician certification from Sul Ross State University. She taught general education for four years, and has spent the last six years serving the Visual Impairment and DeafBlind students within Ector County ISD. Being a parent to a child who is a part of the special needs population, has made Whitney passionate about empowering students with special needs to reach their full potential through advocacy, resource navigation, and teacher support. Mrs. Creekmore hopes to share her expertise while working together with others to build a community that celebrates every child’s unique educational journey.
