Sue Watkins assists with the Legal Framework for the Child-Centered Special Education Process for Region 18 Education Service Center. She works to ensure the website is current, accurate and accessible to parents, educators, and administrators across the state. Ms. Watkins started her career as a special education teacher in Hobbs, NM and eventually became an educational diagnostician in Ector County ISD. She joined the ESC 18 staff in 2004 and worked in Special Populations focusing on assessment and accountability issues. She has her Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas Permian Basin and her Bachelor of Science degree in Special Education from New Mexico State University.
